Next Drop-off recycling will be held Saturday

MAYFIELD TWP. — The next Lapeer County Drop-off Recycling will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore side yard, located on M-24 in Mayfield Township. Dropoff recycling is offered the first and third Saturday of the month. Cost is $4 per vehicle, unless people live in Hadley, Mayfield or Metamora townships where township government paid for their citizens to recycle.

Holiday bazaar on Sunday

LAPEER — Grace Episcopal Church in Lapeer, 735 W. Nepessing, invites you to its annual Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. It will include a cookie walk, crafts, white elephant, handmade greeting cards and raffles. Lunch served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Turkey dinner is Sunday

NORTH BRANCH — The North Branch Order of the Eastern Star will serve its 60th Annual Turkey Dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 at the North Branch Masonic Lodge, 4058 Huron St. The meal includes turkey with all the trimmings, and includes drink and dessert. Take-outs available. Cost is $12 for adults; $6 per child ages 5-12.

Legion Auxiliary tea is Nov. 10

LAPEER — The American Legion Auxiliary’s Annual Holiday Tea will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 at the American Legion Post 16 in Lapeer, 1701 W. Genesee St. Tickets are $15 or a table of eight for $110. Tickets may be purchased at the Legion Hall.

Free dinner for veterans

LAPEER — The Lapeer Elks Lodge No. 2567, 200 E. Nepessing, will serve its 2nd Annual Thank You Dinner for veterans at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10. Veterans Day is Nov. 11. Seating is limited to 100. Veterans and their guest welcome. Call the Lodge at 810- 664-3216 to reserve your seat.

Shopping, dining await for Ladies Night Out in downtown Lapeer

LAPEER — The Fourth Annual Lapeer Ladies Night Out, presented by the Milnes Auto Group, will be held Nov. 15 from 5-9 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Lapeer Area Citizens Against Domestic Assault.

Participants are urged to bring an item needed by LACADA and receive an entry to win. In addition to participating businesses, downtown will also be host to special onenight only vendors as well as door prizes, discounts and raffles.

A free shopping tote bag will be presented to the first 250 women. An official event wrap-up party will be held in the historic courthouse from 7:30-9 p.m. Refreshments will be available.
