Spring Expo vendor spaces are going fast

LAPEER — Over the past five years, the Lapeer Community Spring Expo has become one of Lapeer County’s largest community events. The fifth annual Expo, set for Sunday, April 28, is a free, fun-filled day for the family, featuring more than 80 local business vendors, entertainment, kid’s activities, demonstrations, door prizes and much more.

Vendor spots, which are still available but going quickly, are open to any business or organization interested in consumer-direct marketing and sales. The Expo offers local business owners and organizations a great opportunity to directly connect with potential customers, clients and supporters.

Every paid vendor will be entered into a drawing for a vendor prize package, which is sponsored by View Newspaper Group and Townsquare Media. The package includes free print and radio advertising valued at $1,750. ABC12 News is also offering a fun pack for two, with tickets to a Detroit Tigers baseball game, along with two vouchers to a Detroit restaurant for dinner, as well as coffee mugs and other gifts from ABC12.

“We’re looking into lots of new, fun family activities and demonstrations this year,” said Lapeer Area Chamber’s Executive Director Neda Payne. “We’ll also be bringing back a few favorites!”

Milnes Ford and Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR Community is set to return this year. The test drive event is a fundraiser for the Lapeer Fireworks Fund. Milnes Ford and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 for each test drive taken at the event.

“Come out and take a no-pressure test drive and help us raise funds for the annual Fourth of July Fireworks show,” said Payne. “For the past four years, Drive 4 UR Community has proven invaluable to the fireworks fund. A lot of folks who come to enjoy the show think it’s provided through their tax dollars, but the Chamber raises the funds and coordinates the show. Every little bit helps. Also, we can’t forget that it’s a celebration of our freedom and a tribute to every serviceman and woman who has fought and continues to fight for our freedom.”

The Lapeer Community Spring Expo is a collaboration with Lapeer Community Schools and their Student Readiness Project. The Spring Expo, Sunday, April 28, runs from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Center for Innovation is located at 170 Millville Rd. (formerly Lapeer West High School.)

Registration forms are available on the Chamber’s website at www.lapeerareachamber.org, or at the Chamber office, 108 W. Park St. Vendors should register early as space is limited.
