PIX Theatre to host comedian, illusionist on Jan. 12

LAPEER — Combination magician and comedian Nick Paul joins illusionist Scott Pepper to bring an evening of Hollywood Comedy and Magic to the PIX Theatre stage on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Pepper’s high octane magic and illusions combine magic, comedy and breathtaking illusions that have mystified audiences the world over. Paul takes clever magic techniques and performs them in a way that is blended with comedy and audience participation removing the pretension from magic and allowing the audience to have a great time. They pride themselves on a show that is family friendly and enjoyable for any age group.

Pepper hails from London and has been a magician for more than 20 years. He started out his career with a magic set for his ninth birthday. When he turned 10 he performed his first show as part of a talent competition where he reached the national finals, and hasn’t looked back. He started touring the UK with his own show when he was 22.

In 2006, Pepper staged his own theatre illusion show ‘REVILLUSION’ which played to a sellout audience and then went on to tour the UK. Since then he has worked all around the world with his original style of magic and illusion, from hotels in Europe to some of the most prestigious cruise lines in the world. He has several appearances on the hit TV show Masters of Illusion on CW. His solo show, “The Magician’s Agency” is one of the most popular live productions in San Antonio.

Paul is an award-winning entertainer known for his unique combination of physical comedy and magic. Originally from Detroit, he now lives in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of the Theater School at Columbia College Chicago, and the Second City Chicago Conservatory. He is a regular featured performer at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. His Fringe Festival show, “Impossible Feats of Fake Magic” received rave reviews. From 2012-2015 Paul was a featured magician at Walt Disney World where he performed more than 800 shows. From January – April 2017, he was a featured magician at the House of Magic in Macau, China. In that time span he performed more than 240 shows. He has been seen on CONAN, NBC, and the new Netflix Series Magic for Humans.

Tickets in advance are $27 for adults and $25 for students, seniors, and veterans. At the door, prices will go up to $29 for adults and $27 for students, seniors, and veterans.
