Ken was born March 30, 1934, in Hadley, the son of George and Leone (Stocker) Grover. He was a 1952 graduate of Goodrich High School. He was veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Oleta Gay Reed on July 29, 1967 at Court Street

United Methodist Church in Flint.

Ken worked for DeWitt Excavating and Young Environmental for many years. He was a member of the Swartz Creek American Legion Post #294. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, golfing, poker and was an avid reader.

Surviving are his wife, Gay; three sons, Robert (Andrea) Robinson of Otisville, Richard (Cheryl) Robinson of Grand Blanc and Randal Robinson of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren, Rick, Shauna, Amanda, Matthew, Erin, Erica, Allyse, Stephanie and Jennifer; eight greatgrandchildren; sister, Joyce Pierson of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James, Richard, Wayne and Edward Grover.

Funeral services were Monday, September 10, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Township. Burial was in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.

HERLINDA SABRINA BURNS-BARRIUSO, 60, of Flint (formerly of Peck), died Monday, September 3, 2018.

Herlinda was born December 19, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas, to Pedro and Yolanda (Garcia) Maldonado. Herlinda earned her associate’s degree in nursing from St. Clair Community College – she was an LPN. Herlinda loved animals and had many beloved pets through the years. Above all, Herlinda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter – she loved her family.

Herlinda is survived by her children, Melissa (Aaron) Cochrill of Grand Rapids, Julia (Rob) Reynolds of Carlsbad, NM, and Marvin (Shanna) Burns II of Shields; six grandchildren, Natalie, Lydia, Rex, Reagan, Sophia and Marvin III; mother, Yolanda Jimenez of Wayne; father, Pedro (Jesusa) Maldonado of Lapeer; siblings, Margaret (Tracy) Stern of Peck, Vicki (Ron) Robson of Lapeer, Pedro “Pete” (Christina) Maldonado of Shelby Township, Jesusita “Susie” (Michael) Brinker of Remus, Michael (Mike Hardoin) Maldonado of Wayne, Basillo Maldonado of San Antonio, Texas, and Eliseo Maldonado of Lapeer. Herlinda is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Victor “Bo” Maldonado; and her step-father, Frank Jimenez.

In keeping with Herlinda’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer.
