SYLVIA HELINE, 77, of Metamora, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at home.

Sylvia Kay Sanday was born September 26, 1940, to Howard and Velma Sanday. She grew up in Almont and Romeo. Sylvia is a graduate of Oxford High School, Class of 1959. For a period of time, Sylvia lived in South Carolina. She married Bruce Wayne Heline on September 20, 1985 in Rochester. Sylvia and Bruce moved to the Metamora area in 1988.

She was employed as a real estate agent. Sylvia worked at Little Caesar’s Pizza Store while she lived in South Carolina. For a period of time, she was a store clerk in the Oxford/ Lake Orion area. Early on, Sylvia worked as a bookkeeper for Oxford Overhead Doors.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Bruce “Moose” Heline; two daughters, Julie Moore of Metamora and Rachael Norman of St. Clair Shores; one son, Bruce (Kathy) Heline of Lapeer; one sister, Dolly Craft of Ortonville; one brother, Steve (Julie) Sanday of Georgia; eight grandchildren, Mistie Black, Dylan Anderson, Vicki Fritch, Bruce J. Heline, Beau DeTar, Paul Davis, Shawn Davis and Michael Papineau; and seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Carson, Tucker, Aleigha, Sterling, Summer and Archer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Velma Sanday; and her sister, Donna Stewart.

The funeral will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2018, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City. Lynn Dunham will officiate

The family will be available for visitation 2-5 and 6-8 pm, Thursday, March 8 and 10-11 a.m., Friday, March 9 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
