Imlay City: The Lady Spartans placed first while the boys’ team was third at the Byron Fox & Hound meet on Tuesday. The girls’ team finished with 37 points for first, Byron was second with 48 and Goodrich was third with 60. On the boys’ side, Bath took first with 30, Goodrich second with 48 and Imlay City third with 53

Sarah Hubbard led Imlay City, finishing fourth in 22:30.5. Sydney Kapushinski was sixth in 22:47, Jessica Denver was eighth in 22:54.5, Carlee Forsyth was 10th in 23:02 and McKinzie Winget was 12th in 23:20.

Breydon Andrez finished in third in 18:49 to lead the boys’ team. Brandon Pries finished fifth in 19:02, Jake Swartz was 12th in 19:16, Colin Heeke was 13th in 19 19 and Zak Kustowski was 20th in 19:29 to round out Imlay Ci y’s top-five finishers.

Imlay City will compete in the third Blue Water Area Conference Jamboree of the season on Tuesday at Goodells County Park. – A.V.

LakeVille: The Falcons weren’t able to place in either race on Tuesday at Byron, however, Kailyn Allmon claimed 13th place in the girls’ race in 23:21. Kate Finn was 35th in 26:29, Aubrie Beckley was 43rd in 32:37 and Andrea Erwin 44th in 33:55.

Kory Knickerbocker took 40th for the boys in 22:07 and Jacob Allmon was 41st in 22:37. JJ Hook came in 43rd in 23:25 and in 45th was David Balderman in 24:46. – B.P.

Dryden: The Cardinals flew to victory, 25-7, 25-20, 25-16, at Owendale- Gagetown Tuesday. Kayleigh Hudson picked up 19 points, Natalie Porter had 16 points, seven of which were aces, and two digs and Hannah Weiss added 12 points.

Ally Sobek had a dig and four kills, Paige Abromaitis a dig and Kelli Schenkel two blocks. Erin Boettcher collected three kills and with two kills apiece were Lauren Trieloff and Jordan Perts. – B.P.

Imlay City: Imlay City fell to Cros- Lex at home on Tuesday, 25-19, 25-17, 25-15. Kendall Sommer had five kills and Ali Harper added three. Kaylee Rucker tallied 10 digs. Brianna Booth was 14-of-16 on serve receive and Erika VanDerPloeg had 12 assists.

Imlay City, 2-7-1, is at Algonac tonight and Mt. Morris on Saturday. – K.R.

LakeVille: The Falcons fell to Lake Fenton 16-25, 19-25, 15-25 Tuesday. Kailee Mooney led LakeVille with 31 digs. – L.P.

Lapeer: The Lady Lightning trounced Bay City Central on Tuesday 25-16, 25-15, 25-9. Leah Bentley led with 11 kills. Halie Harris and Teghan Hogan added seven apiece. Brooke Schlaud had four aces and nine assists. Katelyn Johnson tallied 12 digs and three aces.

Lapeer, 17-7-4, will be at the Davison tournament on Saturday and the Freeland Quad on Monday. Tuesday against Flint Powers will be Lapeer’s last home game of the season. – K.R.
