GLENN ROGERS

GLENN ROGERS, 85, of Imlay City, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Marlette United Hospice Residence in Marlette.

Glenn Ray Rogers was born June 18, 1932, in Detroit. He was the son of the late Ray and the late Dorothy (Chambo) Rogers. He grew up in Utica and is a 1950 graduate of

Utica High School. He married Gail

Catherine Bradford on March 19, 1953. They have lived in the Imlay City area since 1970.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 until 1954.

Glenn was employed as a plumber for 50 years working on newly built residential construction. He was a member of the Detroit Plumbers Local 98.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Rogers; one daughter, Laura Elling of Imlay City; two sons, Michael (Linda) Rogers of Lapeer and Mark (Mindy) Rogers of Attica; son-in-law, Gary Felton of Imlay City; two sisters, Geraldine Foley of Utica and Genevieve Dryden of Florida; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and his special niece, Jeanne Danks of Kalamazoo.

Glenn was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Felton; son-in-law, Daniel Elling.

Those wishing to make donations may direct them to Food for Family at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Imlay City.

The funeral was held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 200 N. Cedar St., Imlay City. Pastor Alan Casillas officiated. Interment was at Goodland Township Cemetery.
