Easter chocolate class to be offered at Lapeer library

LAPEER — Have you always wanted to make homemade chocolates for a loved one’s Easter basket but didn’t know where to start? Here’s your opportunity!

The Lapeer District Library and Sweet Choices Cake and Candy Supply Shoppe have teamed up to hold an Easter chocolate class on Tuesday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marguerite deAngeli Library (921 W. Nepessing St.). Kelly and Diane from Sweet Choices will demonstrate how to make delicious chocolate treats for your Easter baskets. Participants will taste delicious samples and get ideas for filling their baskets with homemade chocolates.

From cupcake liners to fillings to fondant to the very best melting chocolate by Merckens, Sweet Choices has supplied both the home and the professional baker for almost two years. Kelly Case, the owner of Sweet Choices, has been creating cakes for around 10 years and Diane Beecher has over 35 years of experience making chocolates. Sweet Choices Shoppe is located at 1779 W. Genesee St. in Lapeer and also offers classes for kids and adults.

This class is free and open to all. However, space is limited and registration is required. Call the Marguerite deAngeli Library at 810-664-6971 to register.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Marguerite deAngeli Library.
