Free workshop Feb. 22 to assist senior citizens
NORTH BRANCH — If you’re a senior citizen and you’d like some information about resources and services available for seniors in Lapeer County, you’re invited to attend a free workshop in North Branch on Feb. 22.
Experts from the Valley Area Agency on Aging, the RSVP Volunteer Program for Seniors, the Senior Reach Outreach Program and MMAP, Inc. will be on hand to answer questions about Medicare enrollment, volunteering and other programs and services that can assist senior citizens with a variety of needs they might have.
The meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon, and there will be refreshments. It is located at North Branch Area Schools, 6655 Jefferson St., North Branch. Enter from Banker Street through the Senior Citizens Entrance.

The Senior Coalition is part of the Lapeer County Community Collaborative. It is comprised of senior citizens, nonprofit and for-profit agencies, working together the provide senior citizens with resources to help them live healthier, happier and more independent lives.
The public is invited to attend monthly meetings to offer ideas and input. Meetings are at 9 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Lapeer County Health Dept. Use the ground level entrance at the back of the building.
