Marguerite Library to host estate planning program

LAPEER — The Marguerite deAngeli Branch of the Lapeer District Library, 921 West Nepessing St., will host attorney Matthew S. Nowak for free estate planning oneon one sessions on Friday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Nowak will be available for 30-minute appointments to answer questions such as explaining the differences between a will and a revocable living trust, the essentials of power of attorney documents, how to avoid probate and any other questions you may have.

Nowak received his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and his B.A. in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from the James Madison College at Michigan State University. Nowak has joined the JKY Legal Group as an associate attorney where his areas of practice are estate planning and business transactions. Nowak is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association.
