LAPEER — The Lapeer Symphony Orchestra is warming up their instruments and getting in tune for the holiday season, with two Christmas concerts taking place this weekend. The free concerts will take place Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Lapeer East High School auditorium.

Conductor Keith Corbett will once again lead the orchestra on two nights of wonderful holiday music. Dan Armstrong, formerly of NBC25, will act as master of ceremonies for the evenings for the audience to enjoy.

The line up of holiday music includes such songs as “Carol of the Bells,” “O Holy Night,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Polar Express,” selections from the Nutcracker and much more.

Some local residents were able to get a sneak peak of the Lapeer Symphony Orchestra’s beautiful Christmas sounds when the performed last week at Lapeer County Bank & Trust’s annual open house in downtown Lapeer.

Admission to the Lapeer Symphony Orchestra’s Christmas concerts is free, but donations will be gladly accepted. Lapeer East High School is located at 933 S. Saginaw St.
