A Walk in the Woods

Trail leader Polly Young introduces a group of children to a flying squirrel (Judy Mattila) at last year’s Enchanted Woodland. The staff at Seven Ponds Nature Center in Dryden Township will once again introduce children to creatures of the nighttime forest during a lit trail walk at the Center at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5. Tickets for the two-hour event are $5 for Seven Ponds members and $7 for non-members. The enchanted walk will include nature crafts and other activities, as well as cider and doughnuts. For more information, call the nature center at 810-796-3200 or visit its website at www.sevenponds.org.
