The second annual Spring Carnival opens today at the American Legion Post 16 in Lapeer. The carnival, which is open to everyone in the community both young and old, will runs through Sunday on the American Legion grounds. Workers were busy earlier in the week setting up rides, games, vendors and more. All that’s missing is local residents to partake in all the fun to be had there.

The Spring Carnival, a fundraiser for the local American Legion, includes everything from large amusement rides to carnival games and vendors.

Tickets are $18 a piece, which includes games and rides, and parking is free. The Spring Carnival is open Thursday and Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., on Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and on Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.

The American Legion Post 16 is located at 1701 W. Genesee St., Lapeer, just west of M-24. For more information about the carnival or the American Legion, call 810-664-9312.
