Plenty of activities at NB Senior Center

NORTH BRANCH — The North Branch Senior Center continues to offer a full slate of activities during February. The center will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Crafters will be working on weaving rugs the first week of February. The week of Feb. 8 and 10 they will make rag baskets.

Feb. 15 and 17, crafters will make boxes from old greeting cards. Feb. 22 and 24 they will get ready for March by making wind mobiles.

Seniors can take part in the monthly pot luck lunch and White Elephant Bingo on Feb. 24.

Cribbage players at the center are eager to add to their group and are willing to help interested participants to learn the game.

Card games, wood carving, craft activities, Wii games, books and magazines to share, indoor walking and jigsaw puzzles are among the many activities seniors enjoy on a regular basis at the center.

The computer room is open during center hours and may be used for email and internet. Help is available for individual questions. Pam Orr from the Lapeer District Library will be available the first Tuesday of each month for instruction and will address specific needs as they are made known to her.
