Thanks from the Key Club

Over and over again, people amaze me and make me very proud.

The Kiwanis Key Club International host district project was “Color Me Well.” The group needed new coloring books, activity books, crayons and markers for children at St. Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. The Lapeer East Key Club asked their friends for help and we were so touched that we received over 200 new coloring books and over 200 new markers and new crayon packs.

We would like to thank everyone for their support and also thank: Donna Woodward, Debra Wegner- Vandenberg, Lapeer Kiwanis Club, Carol Nakoneczny, Mark Piechowski, Autumn Caris, Julie Johnson, Terry Bondy, Jim Buford, Scott Eagle, Lapeer Gold & Diamond and Fay and Mike Perry. We will never forget the happiness on the children’s faces at St. Jude’s Hospital. Thank you.

I also recently attended the Key Club International Convention in Memphis July 7-11. The convention included numerous service fairs, informative workshops and sessions. Collectively, Key Club performed over 13 million service hours in 2009/2010. With a ton of opportunities in the making, the convention inspired Key Club to get out and serve like never before.

Yours in service and in friendship,
