Tim McGraw tribute added to Lapeer Days lineup

Lee Crites Lee Crites LAPEER — The Lapeer Days festival is pleased to announce the return of Tim McGraw Tribute artist Lee Crites.

He will take to the main stage at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20.

Lee started his road tours in 2008 with the Lapeer Days festival where he performed his Tim McGraw tribute to an enthusiastic crowd. He enjoyed the festival so much that he and his wife stayed throughout the weekend. Lee also performed the opening song at the Lapeer Days Karaoke Superstar contest the following day.

Lee is from Grand Rapids and started performing country music in 2004 at a singing competition when the crowd told him how much he looked like Tim McGraw. Lee started learning Tim’s songs and won a celebrity look-a-like competition.

In 2007 while at a minor league baseball game Lee was asked to sing on the field and was nearly mobbed by fans thinking he was the real Tim McGraw. Since then, Lee has performed at festivals, fairs, charity events and more. Lee has also been seen on national TV and performed at the 2010 Celebrity Impersonators Convention in Las Vegas as well as the CBS Sunday Morning news show.

Lee is honored to be a member of Team McGraw

for the New York ING

Marathon, running alongside friend Jeff McMahon from Tim McGraw’s band the Dancehall Doctors, and raising money for the Tug McGraw Foundation for brain cancer research (www.tugmcgraw.org.)

Don’t miss this great tribute to Tim McGraw through Lee Crites’ love of country music during the Lapeer Days festival Aug. 20-22 this year.
