ELAINE BOWMAN, 59, of Imlay City, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at home. Elaine Kaye McLean was born on September 10, 1950 in Almont. She was the daughter of Stanley and Evelyn McLean. Elaine is a graduate of Imlay City High School, Class of 1969. She spent most of her life in Imlay City. She married Robert Bowman on July 15, 1988 in Yale. Father Wayne Ureel remarried Elaine and Robert on November 29, 2009.

Elaine began waitressing at age 14 at Tietz’s Restaurant in Imlay City and then worked at the Silver Grill off-and-on for more than 25 years as a waitress. Elaine was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 40 years.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Robert Bowman of Imlay City; daughter, Jackie Dahn of Sterling Heights; mother, Evelyn McLean Robinson of Imlay City; step-children, Wayne (Anne) Bowman of Imlay City, Debbie (Bob) Kinzer of Imlay City, Michael Bowman of Clinton Township, Brian (Laura) Bowman of Livonia, Jeff (Cindy) Bowman of Clinton Township, Rick (Tammy) Dahn of Imlay City and Karla (Jeff) Seaman of Imlay City; 11 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Vickie (Michael) Shaw of Carnie, MO; nieces and nephew, Mike and Mandy.

Elaine is preceded in death by her father, Stanley McLean; brother, Robert “Robbie” McLean; step-father, Fred Robinson; ex-husband, Jack Dahn and ex-husband, Gary Maples.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City. Father Wayne Ureel pastor of St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Dryden will be officiated.
