Closing date eyed for new EMS building
      LAPEER — Pending the results of a third water test, a closing date of Friday, Nov. 20, has been set by the Lapeer County EMS Board for the Handyman Building. The 20,000-square-foot building at 3565 Genesee Rd. will be the new headquarters for Lapeer County EMS, when and if the sale becomes final.

LRMC earns HFAP accreditation
      LAPEER — Lapeer Regional Medical Center has been awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), an independent, recognized accreditation authority. It earned this distinction after HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of the medical center’s quality and safety standards.
