5K run/walk this Saturday
      LAPEER — Chatfield's Prairies and Ponds Poltergeist Pursuit 5K Run/Walk is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. A 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 10 a.m. There will also be a mini-run for children in Halloween costumes for ages 5 and younger. It will be a great opportunity for fun, health and supporting Chatfield's students earning funds for their Washington trip.

Bishop to visit with Lapeer church leaders
      LAPEER — The Right Rev. Bishop David (Doc) Loomis will visit St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Lapeer on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. While in the community he will meet with various groups in the church as well as regional and local church leaders in Lapeer. Bishop Loomis is the newest bishop ordained in the Anglican Mission in the Americas (AMiA).
