Donna Lou (Nee: Wandrie) Perreault,
Beloved Wife of the late Arthur; loving & giving mother of Lucy (Bill) Stubings, Laura (Jerry) Gunter & the late Elizabeth Marshall; grandmother of Ann MacFarland, Shawnn (Kathleen) Smark, Sarah (Pete) Gurney, Trinity Steele, Jim (Dawn) Stubbings, Dan (Heather) Steele, & Clint Marshall & many great-grandchildren who were the love of her life; dearest sister of the late Otto (Betty) Wandrie & Pat (Joe) Van Hamme. Donnaís many nieces, nephews and extended family were so good to her and she loved them deeply. Sister in law & Brother in law, Linda & Jim Perreault were her loving angels, who took such wonderful care of Donna, and enabled he to live our her dream of independence by living in her own apartment after her husband died.
Memorials may be made to the United Hospice services of Marlette Residence or The Sanctuary (Casa Mara).
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009, 12 noon at Imlay City Methodist Church, 210 N. Almont, Imlay City.

Malcolm S. “Mac” Bailey, 82, of Lapeer for over 50 years (formerly of Flint) died on Sunday, January 11, 2009. He was born on December 12, 1926 in Renfrew, Scotland to Walter and Bessie Kane Earl (Shanks) Bailey. He married the late Charlene Fuller on April 28, 1951.
The family moved to Lapeer in December, 1960. Mr. Bailey proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. In 1948 he graduated from Chevrolet Tool and Die Apprentice School and was employed at A.C. Rochester East in Flint. He enjoyed going out to dinner.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lauri Bailey of Lapeer; grandchildren, Jason Bailey and Amy (Karl) Wolfe; and great-grandchildren, Olivia Wolfe and Lukas Wolfe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Bailey; parents, Walter and Bessie Bailey; sister, Hannah (Elmer) Lowry; and brothers, Walter (Genevieve) Bailey and Adam (Nancy) Bailey.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Lois Braidwood, 97, recently of Romeo (formerly of Imlay City and Dryden) passed away on Monday, January 12, 2009 at her daughters home after an extended illness. Lois Marie Chapman was born on October 15, 1911 in Attica, Michigan. She was the 2nd child of five children born to George and Mary Chapman. She grew up in Dryden. She graduated from Dryden High School in the Class of 1929. She was married to Oliver Braidwood on October 22, 1938 in Dryden, Michigan. Oliver died on April 14, 2007 after 67 years of marriage.
She had been employed by Dryden Post Office as an Assistant Post Master. She retired in 1974 after 19 years. She was a member of Dryden United Methodist Church. She was a Life Member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #252. She and Oliver enjoyed wintering in Zephyrhills, FL and traveling the countryside with their travel trailer. Lois and Oliver lived in Imlay City from 1980-2002.
Surviving is her daughter, Jean (William) Martin of Romeo; grandsons, Alan Martin of Romeo and Andrew Martin currently in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver in 2007; and 4 brothers, Kenneth Chapman, Ralph Chapman, Claire Chapman and Donald Chapman.
Friends may call Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City, where the family will be available for visiting from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2009.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Dryden United Methodist Church. The Reverend Patricia Hoppenworth will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dryden.

Stephanie Lynn Hennessey, 43, of North Branch, Michigan (formerly of Lapeer) died on Saturday, January 10, 2009. She was born on March 1, 1965 to Herbert and Dorothy (Duguid) Blaies. She married Thomas “Tom” Hennessey, Jr. on September 25, 2001 in Kentucky.
Stephanie graduated from Imlay City High School, Class of 1983. She was a production operator at Deeco Plate in Lapeer.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Hennessey, Jr. of North Branch; children, Kyle Zions of Flushing and Brittany Zions of Flushing; step-children, Heather (Anthony) Smith of Snover, Becky Hennessey of Croswell, Thomas (Sarah) Hennessey of Lapeer, Patricia (Patrick) Hughes of Applegate and Cole Hennessey of North Branch; 15 grandchildren; father, Herbert (Susie) Blaies of Kentucky; sisters, Kathy (Craig) Cooper, Laurie Lukaszewsk and Julie Chairchan; brother, David Blaies; mother and father-in-law, Tom and Betty Hennessey of Lapeer.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Duguid Blaies

Joyce A. Conley, 56, a lifetime Lapeer area resident, died on Friday, January 9, 2009. She was born on June 12, 1952 in Flint to Bobbie and Arlene (Underhill) McClelland. She married Chuck R. Conley on June 1, 1985 at the German Church, Lapeer.
Mrs. Conley was very active at the American Legion Post #16, loved bowling and was a very social person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck Conley of Lapeer; children, Bobbie Jo (Matt) Pins of Lapeer, Lisa (Dennis) Lyons of Novi, Dennis (Jennifer) Conley of Brown City, Danny (Jodi) Conley of North Branch; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobbie and Arlene (Underhill) McClelland, brother: Bobbie and sister: Jane.

James M. Racknor, 61, a lifetime Lapeer area resident, died on January 11, 2009. He was born on November 11, 1947 in Lapeer to Mike and Marie (Voyce) Racknor. He married Cherie Oliver on July 29, 1989 in Burton. Mr. Racknor was a fork lift driver for Pontiac Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Jim enjoyed, and was known for working at local gas stations. He used to be an avid bowler, hunter & played some cards. Most importantly, Mr. Racknor loved his family, particularly seeing his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Cherie Racknor of Lapeer; children, Michael (Rose) Racknor of AK, Thomas Racknor of FL, John (Tammy) Racknor of Linden, Jay (Tamera) Racknor of Lapeer, Kevin (Krissi) Racknor of Davison and Daryl (Christine) Racknor of Flint; step-children, Richard Bard of Lapeer and Ronald Bard of Otisville; 23 grandchildren; brother, Keith (Nancy) Racknor of Lapeer and cousin: Gary (Cookie) Racknor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Marie Racknor.

Ronald H. Gleason, 92, of Hadley died on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. He was born on April 24, 1916 in Hadley to Harrison Franklin and Edna (Hanniman) Gleason. He married Josephine Tunison.
Mr. Gleason proudly served his country in WWII. He retired in 1974 from Pontiac Motors, where he worked as a pipefitter for over 37 years. Ronald was a member of American Legion Post #16. He was also a member of the Hadley Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Gleason of Hadley; children, Howard Gleason of Lapeer, George (Maryann) Gleason of Hadley, James Gleason of Hadley; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Marylyn Haralabakos of Waterford and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Edna Gleason; brothers, Duane Gleason and Robert Gleason; and sister, Kathryn Hollis.

Verdith (Evelyn) Risdon, 82, of Lapeer, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. She was born on December 8, 1926 in Thomas, MI to John and Birdith (Churchill) Fenner. She married Gernard “Charlie” Risdon on April 7, 1946 in Ortonville.
Mrs. Risdon was a member of the Deerfield Church of Christ for 37 years and a long time member of T.O.P.S. #888. Evelyn was active with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for many years, because two of her daughters were diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. She won Jack Bailey’s Queen for a Day in 1963, asking for wheelchairs and other items to help her daughters.
She is survived by daughters, Elaine (Stan) Kaleto of Gladwin and Karen (Ron) Mass of Flint; sisters, Lila Ellis of Mio; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members and good friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Gernard “Charles” Risdon; daughters, Linda Risdon, Kathleen Nuss and Jackie Risdon; sister, Olive Revard; and parents, John and Birdith Fenner.
Memorial requests may be made to the family.

Florence Smith, 87, of Lum, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility. Florence A. Snover was born on December 1, 1921 in Kings Mill, Michigan. She was the daughter of Sam and Margaret Snover. Florence grew up in Kings Mill and attended Kings Mill Schools. She spent most of her life in the Lum area. She was married to Myrl Smith, he preceded her in death. Florence married her second husband Daune Smith in 1964 in Imlay City, he passed away in 1994.
Florence was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Imlay City. She was a nurses aid and an activities volunteer at Ferguson and Suncrest Convalescent Homes in Lapeer. Florence also sold Avon products.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Sharon) Smith of the Upper Peninsula, William “Bill” (Barbara) Smith of Attica, Tom Smith of Lapeer, Don (Carol) Smith of North Branch, Glen Smith of Floral City, FL; daughters-in-law, Sandra Smith of North Branch and Shirley Smith of Metamora; step-children, Marrtino Hill, Wesley Smith, Tracy Adams and Colon Smith; and a sister, Mildred Schlaud of Attica. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City. Pastor Kirby “Jim” Rayment officiated. Burial followed in Arcadia Township Cemetery.

Janie Wagner, 83, of Imlay City, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at her home. EvaJane Boughner was born on August 2, 1925 in Yale, Michigan. She was the daughter of James and Margaret Boughner. She grew up in Yale. She attended County Schools. Janie has lived in the Imlay City area since 1945.
She married Clifford Wagner on June 18, 1945 in Imlay City. He died in 1967. Janie farmed with her husband Clifford for 19 years.
She married Weldon “Willie” Wagner on April 8, 1972 in Imlay City. Willie passed away in 1989. Janie worked at 4-H Mushroom Cannery in Imlay City from 1968-1986. She also cooked at the Lamb Steele Bldg. for the Senior Center throughout the 1990’s and she was recently working at Pizza Machine for the last 5 years.
Janie was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Imlay City.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Bruce) Badder of Imlay City; several nieces and nephews; brother, Joseph (Edna) Boughner of Clio and sister, Dorothy Smith of Croswell.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Imlay City. Pastor Alan Casillas officiated. Burial followed at Imlay Township Cemetery.

Elna Wagner, 96, of Lapeer died on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. She was born on October 10, 1912 to Fred and Mary (Rohr) Peters.
Mrs. Wagner graduated from Metamora High School and went on for 2 years at County Normal. She was a clerk at the Ross General Store then Sweeneys Bakery.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Nora) Wagner of Metamora, Nancy Kitchenmaster of Lapeer, Kerry Wagner of Lapeer, Ronny (Delores) Wagner of Lapeer; 13 grandchildren; and many many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Caskey; father, Fred Peters; son, Roy Wagner; granddaughter, Michelle Wagner; and brothers, Elmer and Roy Peters.

Marie Walton, 85, of Attica, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Ferguson Convalescent Home in Lapeer. Marie Jean Allis was born on October 24, 1923 in Flint, Michigan. She was the daughter of Frank and Mabel Allis. Marie grew up in Lapeer and graduated from Lapeer High School, Class of 1943. She spent most of her life in Attica. She married Melvin Clarence Walton on November 6, 1948. He passed away in 1971.
Marie worked at Lapeer Fabricators in the 1940’s for 5 years. She was a homemaker all her life.
Marie is survived by her sons, Larry Walton of Lapeer, Carl Walton of Imlay City and Calvin Walton of Columbiaville; daughters, Evelyn (David) Burton of Millersburg, IN, Carol (Earl) Harmon of North Branch, Beverly (Richard) Blondell of Grand Blanc, Laura Walton of Attica and Donna Walton of Lapeer; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Joe Strump; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Allis, Mary Walton, Ardith Walton, Kathleen Harsen, Joyce Wilt and Dorothy Walton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Walton; brothers, Ralph Allis, Ronald Allis; parents, Frank and Mabel Allis.

Charles James Baker, 90, of Dryden passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Lapeer County Extended Care Facility. He was born on May 16, 1918 in Leonard to Frank and Zaidee (Haynes) Baker. He married Virginia Wood on June 4, 1946 in Kawkalin.
Mr. Baker graduated from Dryden High School prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army. He served in Japan during World War II. He was a lifetime farmer and worked for National Twist Drill for 21 years before retiring. He was a member of Dryden Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Baker; children, James (Betty) Baker of Broken Arrow, OK, Paul Baker of Dryden, George (Yvonne) Baker of Metamora, Mary (Alan) Curtis of Oxford, Jean (Wayne) Martin of Dryden, and Sandy (Darren) Szlachta of Attica; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Zaidee Baker and brother, Gilbert Baker.
Memorials may be made to Lapeer County Medical Care Facility (Suncrest) or to Dryden Wesleyan Church.
Funeral services were held on January 10, 2009 at Dryden Wesleyan Church. Pastor Nathan Bills officiated. Burial was at Dryden Center Cemetery.

Deloris M Haase, 89, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Suncrest Medical Center in Lapeer. Mrs. Haase is the mother of Elba Township resident Garnet Haase.
Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home in Royal Oak.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 10-11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Lapeer. Garnet Hasse, who is a retired minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Toledo.

Paul Bildzok, Jr., 48, of Almont (previously of Red Hook, New York) passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at home. Paul Thomas Bildzok, Jr., was born on August 4, 1960 in Concord, Massachusetts. He was the son of Paul and Patricia Bildzok, Sr.
He is a graduate of Almont High School, Class of 1978. Paul earned a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University in 1982. While at Michigan State University he became a member of the National Honor Society, Phi Beta Kaap and Tau Beta Pi.
He had worked for I.B.M. from 1982 to 2004 in Kingston, New York and Poughkeepsie, New York as a computer programmer. While in college he worked for Texas Instruments and Sperry Rand during the summers.
Paul is survived by his wife of 21 years, Amy Bildzok of Red Hook, New York; son, Matthew Bildzok of Red Hook, New York; daughter, Allison Bildzok of Red Hook, New York; mother, Patricia Bildzok of Almont; brother, Steven (Chris) Bildzok of Imlay City; sister, Donna (Terry) Veres of Lapeer; grandmother, Anna M. Day of Caldonia, Michigan; mother-in-law, Nancy Gifford of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Steven Bildzok, Tara Bildzok, Carl Veres, Terry Veres, Jr., Andrew Veres, Anne Veres, Laura DeMare, Steven DeMare, Elizabeth DeMare, Rachael Landgren, Airella Gifford and Talia Gifford.
He was preceded in death by his father Paul Thomas Bildzok, Sr. in 2007; grandfather Delmer Day; father-in-law, Lawrence Gifford and uncle, William Day.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
A Gift of Life was Paul’s last request to be made to Michigan State University Anatomy Dept. “Willing Body Donation”.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Allenton. Father Charles Ratnasamy will be officiating.
