St. Patrick’s Day Events

Corned beef & cabbage
— North Branch Masons will serve corn beef and cabbage at their annual dinner on Sunday, March 18, from noon-3 p.m.
The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children. The Masonic Hall address is 4058 Huron St.

Flint bursting with St. Paddy’s events
— Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 during the 26th Annual Mass, Family Walk, Road Race and Party in and around Flint.
Start the day at 9:30 a.m. with the “Lil’ Blarney Trot,” and a road race at UM-Flint on Kearsley Street and I- 475 at 10:30 a.m.

• 11 a.m., an award ceremony is set for St. Michael Church at 609 E. Flint Ave.
• 12:02 p.m., a St. Patrick’s Day Mass at the same church
• 1:30 p.m., Ancient Order of Hibernians in America walk following the Mass, ending at the Masonic Temple at 755 S. Saginaw St.
• 2 p.m., tea, coffee, scones and juice provided for free by the Parade Committee and the AOH at the Masonic Temple.
• 2:30-11 p.m., music, step dancers, contests, prizes, the Temple’s famous food and full bar and fun at family-friendly prices. Entertainment provided by Equinox. A $5 admission will be charged after 3 p.m., but tickets can be used on food or at the bar.

Irish eyes on
all-you-can eat
— There’s no telling if the syrup will be green, but the Attica/Imlay Masonic Lodge extends a public welcome to the group’s Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 17, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
For $5 diners can indulge in all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs, sausage and fruit salad breakfast. Proceeds go toward local charities.

St. Patricks’ dance at Lions Club Hall
— The Metamora Lions Club will host a St. Patrick’s Day Dance starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 17.
The menu includes lasagna and spaghetti. Please bring your own drinks. DJ Universal Tunes will provide the music and the fun includes a 50/50 drawing and table raffle.
Cost is $20 per person and donations are always welcome. Pick up tickets at Best Party Tyme, the Metamora Township Fire Department, co-sponsors of the dance, or at the door. Profits will go to the Metamora Country Day’s Fireworks fund.

Pre-Paddy Party
— St. Paddy’s Parade Party, Friday, March 16, 7 p.m., Elks Club, Beach Rd. Celtic Cross and Strathroy Legion Pipe Band.

Parade & pub crawl
— St. Patrick’s Parade — Celebrating 150 Years of The Irish in Port Huron. Noon from Pine Grove Park through downtown. Pub crawl after parade, ride the trollies to 12 different pubs and restaurants, all day, downtown.

Party at the greens
— St. Paddy’s Day Party, 6 p.m.-midnight, Holly Meadows Golf Course, 4855 Capac Rd. Tix $20, dinner & dancing. Capac Area Chamber of Commerce benefit.

DSO Celtic Tribute
— Detroit Symphony Orchestra, 3711 Woodward Ave., honors all things Irish with a Celtic Celebration. If it’s Irish ... it’s on the playlist. Natalie MacMaster joins DSO for this mood music in green. Friday, March 16, 8:30 p.m. Tix at Ticketmaster $13.50-68.50.

Green tea at Joe’s
— Roger Hunt is booked for Friday Night Tunes, Cup of Joe, 778 S. Main. Irish music & jams on Saturday night. Free event.

Riverdance at
Fox Theatre
